How to Edit a Tag Name in ChatSilo

This tutorial shows you how to quickly rename an existing tag in ChatSilo to keep your contact organization accurate and up to date.

Step 1: Click the Edit Icon on Your Tag

Inside the ChatSilo extension panel on facebook.com/messages, hover over the tag you want to rename. A pencil (✏️) icon will appear next to the tag name — click it to activate the editable name field.

Tip: The pencil icon only appears when you hover over the tag row, so keep your cursor on the tag name until it shows up.

Step 2: Enter the New Tag Name

Click into the tag name field that appears and type your updated tag name. For example, you might rename "Warm Leads" to "Hot Leads" to better reflect the contact group.

Tip: Keep tag names short and descriptive so they're easy to scan at a glance.

Step 3: Save Your Changes

Click anywhere else on the screen to confirm the change. ChatSilo will immediately apply the new name and display a green "Tag updated successfully" confirmation message.

You're all set! 🎉

You've successfully renamed a tag in ChatSilo. Your contacts and conversations linked to that tag remain intact — only the name changes.
