How to Follow Up with Tagged Contacts Using the ChatSilo Sidebar

This tutorial shows you how to use the ChatSilo sidebar to quickly find and message tagged contacts — no more scrolling endlessly through your inbox.

Step 1: Open the ChatSilo Sidebar

Navigate to facebook.com/messages in your browser. Once the page loads, click the Chat icon to open the ChatSilo sidebar panel on the right side of your screen.

Note: Make sure the ChatSilo extension is installed and active in your browser. If you don't see the sidebar, check that the extension is enabled.

Step 2: Select a Tag

In the ChatSilo sidebar, locate the Tags section. Click the dropdown menu and select the tag you want to work with (for example, Contacts 1).

ChatSilo will immediately load all contacts associated with that tag.

Tip: Tags help you segment your contacts by campaign, status, or any label you've set up. Select the right tag to narrow down your audience before messaging.

Step 3: Find a Specific Contact

If you're looking for a particular person within the tag, type their name into the Search field at the top of the contact list. You can also use the Sort option to reorder contacts by name or other available criteria.

Tip: Use the sort feature when working with large contact lists to find people faster.

Step 4: Start Messaging

Once you've found the contact you want to reach, click the Chat icon next to their name. This opens their conversation directly in facebook.com/messages.

Type your message in the message field and click Send.

Note: The conversation opens in the main Facebook Messages window, so you won't lose your place in the ChatSilo sidebar.

🎉 You're all set! You can now send quick, targeted follow-ups to tagged contacts without manually hunting through your entire messages list. Repeat these steps any time you want to reach a specific group.
