How to Add Multiple Contacts to a Tag Using ChatSilo
This tutorial walks you through creating a new tag in ChatSilo and adding multiple contacts to it at once — a fast way to keep your Facebook contacts organized by category or campaign.
Step 1: Open the ChatSilo Extension
Navigate to facebook.com/messages in your browser. Once the page loads, click the ChatSilo icon in the top-right corner of your browser toolbar to launch the extension panel.

Note: If you don't see the ChatSilo icon, click the puzzle piece icon in your browser toolbar to locate and pin the extension.
Step 2: Create a New Tag
Inside the ChatSilo panel, click the Add new Tag button to start creating a tag.

Step 3: Name Your Tag
In the field that appears, type your desired tag name — for example, New Leads. Then click the Add button to save it.

Tip: Choose a clear, descriptive tag name that reflects the group of contacts you're organizing, such as Hot Leads, Customers, or Follow-Up Q3. This makes it easier to find and use tags later.
Step 4: Select the Contacts You Want to Tag
From your contact list inside the ChatSilo panel, check the checkbox beside each contact you want to add to your new tag.

Warning: You can select a maximum of 10 contacts at a time. If you need to tag more than 10 contacts, complete the tagging process for your first batch, then repeat Steps 4–6 for the next group.
Step 5: Click "Tag All"
Once you've made your selections, click the Tag all button to proceed with assigning a tag to your chosen contacts.

Step 6: Assign the Tag
A tag selection dialog will appear. Choose the tag you want to apply from the list — in this case, the one you created in Step 3. Then click the Update tag button to confirm the assignment.

Tip: You can assign contacts to an existing tag here too — just select any tag from the list, not only newly created ones.
Step 7: Confirm the Contacts Were Tagged
After clicking Update tag, ChatSilo will display a confirmation message on screen. This confirms that all selected contacts have been successfully added to the chosen tag.

Note: To double-check, navigate to the tag in your ChatSilo panel and verify that the contacts appear under it as expected.
