How to Search for and Select a Tag from the ChatSilo Tag Popup

This tutorial shows you how to use ChatSilo's built-in tag search to quickly find and assign an existing tag to a contact — no more scrolling through a long tag list.

Step 1: Open the ChatSilo Tag Popup

Navigate to facebook.com/messages in your browser. In your chat list, find the contact you want to tag and click the ChatSilo tag button that appears beside their name.

Note: Make sure the ChatSilo extension is active in your browser. If you don't see the tag button beside your contacts, check that the extension is enabled in your browser toolbar.

Step 2: View Your Tag List

After clicking the tag button, a popup window will appear showing all the tags you've created in ChatSilo. Browse the list to find the tag you need, or move on to the next step to search for it quickly.

Step 3: Search for Your Tag

Click inside the search field at the top of the popup and start typing the name of the tag you're looking for. ChatSilo will filter the list in real time, showing only tags that match your input.

Step 4: Select the Tag

Once you see the tag you want in the filtered results, check the checkbox next to it to assign it to the contact. ChatSilo applies the tag automatically.

Note: You do not need to click the Add Tag button to assign an existing tag. The Add Tag button is only for creating a brand-new tag without opening the full ChatSilo extension popup. Simply checking the checkbox is all it takes.
