How to Search for and Select a Tag from the ChatSilo Tag Popup

As your contact list expands, scrolling through a long list of tags to find the right label can slow down your workflow. ChatSilo features a real-time tag search bar directly inside the tagging popup, allowing you to instantly locate and apply any existing tag in seconds.

Follow this quick guide to search for and assign tags directly from your Facebook Messages.

Step 1: Open the tag popup for your contact

Navigate to facebook.com/messages in your browser. In your left-hand chat list, locate the contact you want to organize and click the purple (+) button beside their name.

Note: If you do not see the purple (+) button beside your contacts, ensure the ChatSilo extension is enabled in your browser toolbar.

Step 2: Access the search field in the tag menu

When the tag modal appears, you will see all of your existing tags along with a dedicated search field at the top of the popup.

Step 3: Type your tag name to filter results

Click inside the Search tag field at the top of the modal and begin typing the name of the tag you are looking for (for example, "New"). ChatSilo automatically filters your tag list in real time to show only matching results.

Step 4: Select the tag and confirm

Click on the matching tag (for example, New Leads) to check it, then click the purple Update Tag button at the bottom of the modal to save your changes.
