How to Tag a Contact From Facebook Profile in ChatSilo

This tutorial shows you how to assign one or more tags to a single contact directly from their profile — quickly and without needing to open the full ChatSilo extension.

Step 1: Open the Contact's Profile

Once you're on the contact's profile, click the (+) plus icon to expand the tag panel. This displays all the tags you've already created in ChatSilo.

Step 2: Select a Tag to Apply

From the tag panel, click the tag or tags you want to assign to this contact and click the Update button. ChatSilo will apply the selected tags to the contact.

Tip: You can assign multiple tags to a single contact at once — just click each tag you want to apply before closing the panel.

Step 3: Add a New Tag on the Fly (Optional)

If the tag you need doesn't exist yet, click the Add tag button directly within the contact's profile panel. This lets you create and apply a brand-new tag without navigating back to the ChatSilo extension popup.

Note: Any tag you create here will also be saved to your full tag list in ChatSilo and available for future use.

Step 4: Confirm the Tags Were Applied

Check the Chatsilo  (+) plus icon again and verify that all the tags you selected now appear linked to this contact.

🎉 You're all set! This contact is now tagged and ready to be included in your targeted messaging or any ChatSilo workflow that uses that tag.
