How to Tag Contacts from Your Friends List Using ChatSilo
This tutorial shows you how to quickly tag one or more contacts directly from your Facebook Friends list, keeping your ChatSilo contacts organized in bulk without leaving your profile page.
Step 1: Open your Facebook Friends list
Go to your Facebook profile page and click on the Friends tab to view your complete friends directory.
When the ChatSilo extension is active in your browser, you will notice a floating Tag All control panel (❶) anchored in the bottom-left corner of the page.
Tip: If you do not see the checkboxes or the Tag All button, make sure the ChatSilo extension is pinned and enabled in your browser toolbar, then refresh the page.
Step 2: Select the contacts you want to tag
Browse through your friends list and click the checkbox in the top-right corner of each contact card you wish to tag (❶).
As you select contacts, the counter in the bottom-left corner will dynamically update to reflect your batch size—such as Selected: 7 (❷).
Note: You can select as many contacts as you need in a single batch. Bulk tagging allows you to organize dozens of connections in seconds.
Step 3: Click "Tag All", select your tag, and update
With your contacts selected:
- Click the purple Tag All button (❶) in the bottom-left corner to open the tagging dialog.
- Select the checkbox next to the tag you want to apply (❷)—for example, Chatsilo.
- Click the Update Tag button (❸) near the top of the modal to confirm.
Tip: If the tag you need doesn't exist yet, click the Add Tag button inside the popup to create it on the spot.
Step 4: Confirm your tags were applied
Give ChatSilo a few seconds to update your selections. Each of the chosen contacts will now display their green Chatsilo tag pill directly on their contact card in your friends list.
Note: If the tags do not appear right away, simply refresh your browser page to sync the changes.

Your selected friends are now tagged and categorized. You can easily filter them inside Facebook Messenger, send targeted broadcast campaigns, or export their profile data to your connected Google Sheet.
