How to Tag Contacts from Your Friends List Using ChatSilo

This tutorial shows you how to quickly tag one or more contacts directly from your Facebook Friends list — keeping your ChatSilo contacts organized without leaving your profile.

Step 1: Navigate to Your Friends List

Go to your Facebook profile page. Click on the Friends tab to open your full friends list.

Tip: Make sure the ChatSilo extension is active in your browser before you begin — you'll need it for the tagging options to appear.

Step 2: Select the Contacts You Want to Tag

Locate the contact you want to tag in your friends list. Check the small checkbox that appears to the left of their name. Repeat this for every contact you want to tag in the same batch.

Note: You can select as many contacts as you like before applying a tag — bulk-tagging saves you a lot of time!

Step 3: Apply a Tag to Your Selection

Once you've selected all the contacts you want, click the Tag All button that appears in the bottom let side of the screen.

Step 4: Assign a Tag Name

A tag dialog box will appear. Click the Tag Name dropdown and select the tag you want to apply to your selected contacts. Once you've made your selection, click the Update Tag button to confirm.

Tip: If you don't see the tag you need in the dropdown, you may need to create it first from your ChatSilo dashboard before returning to this step.

Step 5: Confirm the Tag Was Applied

After updating, verify that the selected contacts now show the correct tag linked to their profiles. Check each contact to confirm the tag appears as expected.

Note: If a contact's tag doesn't appear right away, try refreshing the page and checking again.
